A Conversation on Asian American Feminisms and Women’s History at CWRU

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Department of History at Case Western Reserve University warmly invite you and our community of supporters to a special public lecture by Dr. Judy Tzu‑Chun Wu, a nationally recognized historian of women, gender, and Asian American activism.

In this timely and illuminating talk, “Asian American and Pacific Islander Feminisms and the 1977 National Women’s Conference,” Dr. Wu will explore the pivotal role Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders played in shaping feminist movements and national policy debates. Drawing on her extensive expertise, Dr. Wu will highlight important voices often left out of mainstream narratives of U.S. politics and reflect on their continued relevance today.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Judy Tzu‑Chun Wu is Professor of History and Asian American Studies at the University of California, Irvine. She is an award‑winning scholar whose work focuses on feminism, social movements, and the intersections of race, gender, and international politics. Her research and teaching have significantly shaped the field of women’s and gender history.
