About the Program:

Join us for a conversation with Michael Goldberg to learn about how Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is supporting the growth of entrepreneurship on campus and with alumni. This includes the formation of the CWRU Alumni Venture Fund focused on providing alumni, student and faculty startups access to early-stage capital. Goldberg will also discuss the expansion of the Weatherhead entrepreneurship courses and programs, and opportunities for CWRU alumni to get involved.

Michael Goldberg is the inaugural executive director of the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship. Goldberg is also a professor in design and innovation where he teaches courses on entrepreneurship. He’s created a massive open online course for CWRU called Beyond Silicon Valley: Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies, which has attracted over 175,000 students from 190 countries.

Before joining CWRU, Goldberg was the co-founder of the Bridge Investment Fund, a venture capital fund focused on investing in Israeli medical device companies and director of international business development for America Online, where he was responsible for structuring and negotiating international partnerships in Asia.

Goldberg was named a Fulbright winner for an unprecedented fifth time. Goldberg holds degrees from Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
